Caravan Sales

Thinking of buying a static caravan? Whether brand new or pre-owned, it’s a big decision – and an exciting one! Our friends at the BH&HPA have put together the video (right) to walk you through what to consider. If you’re interested in joining us at Southfield, take a look at our sales pages to see what’s currently available.

The park is open annually from late March through October 31st. Outside of these dates, the park is closed, and access to both the park and your caravan will not be possible. During this period, all services—including gas, water, and electricity—are switched off.

Please note that all caravans at Southfield Farm are strictly for HOLIDAY USE ONLY. Residential pitches are not available.

Holiday caravans prices vary greatly, much like conventional properties. Size, Make, Model, Location will all be factors when purchasing.

Aside from the initial cost of your caravan, the list below should also be considered:

Annual Pitch Fee (Includes rates). This increases annually and you will be informed in January each year of any change.

Electricity - Metered boxes are used throughout Southfield. Readings will be taken annually, and an invoice will follow.

Gas - 19kg bottles are required across our site (Pavilion and Oaks excluded). Avanti Gas bottles can be purchased (and delivered and connected) from the office. Please contact the office to confirm the current cost. For caravans sited on "The Pavilion" and "The Oaks", gas is metered, similarly to electricity. Readings will be taken annually and invoiced.

Water - For all caravans, excluding those sited in "The Pavilion" and "The Oaks", water is included within the rent. Caravans in "The Pavilion" and "The Oaks" have a metered supply, that will be read and invoiced annually.

It's in your own interests to ensure that you sign a written contract (known as a "Licence Agreement"). You should also consider our "Park Rules", which are binding to all our customers.

We are happy to provide copies of both on request. We advise that all documentation is read and understood before you purchase any caravan.

You may sell your holiday caravan on the park with our agreement, provided the caravan is under 25 years old. The caravan may also be moved off site at your own expense. If sold on site, a transfer fee must be paid which is specified in the Licence Agreement.

Caravans sited on Southfield are for HOLIDAY PURPOSES ONLY.

You may use your caravan within our open period, but this cannot be used as your main residence. Living in your caravan will be a breach of your licence agreement and you would have none of the protection in law provided to occupiers of residential parks. We ask all customers for proof (at the outset and at intervals in the future) that they have a genuine permanent home address elsewhere. A 'paper' address is not enough, it must be a legitimate place of residence.

We are required to ensure caravans are for holiday use only. They should not be used as a place to commute to work, or enrol your children into local schools. You should be registered to vote at your main place of residence.

Failure to comply will result in termination of your contract and you will be asked to remove your holiday caravan.

All new verandas must be made from UPVC and must be professionally constructed by one of our approved contractors. Before any work begins, plans must be supplied and approved by the Southfield Team. Please speak with the Southfield team if you are considering a veranda to find out more about what size veranda you could have.

Caravans are permitted to remain on site until they are 25 years old. Once they are over this age, they cannot be sold, given or transferred to any other person.

After this time, caravans must be upgraded withing 24 months.

The site life is based on the age of the Caravan, not when it is sited. Therefore a Brand New caravan can remain on site for 25 years. A 10 year old caravan would only be able to remain on site for 15 years.

Yes, a copy of your insurance must be shown to us annually.

A maximum of 2 plastic storage containers are permitted for each caravan. No other materials may be used.

We do not offer any finance solutions for purchasing caravans directly from us.

We do not allow renting on site.
